Youth Ministries

At Main Street we run a comprehensive programme of activities for our children and young people.

Sunday School and Bible Class run before our Sunday morning service, giving children from primary one all the way through to year twelve the opportunity to learn about God and explore their faith in a structured, but relaxed, manner.

A crèche is available during morning worship services for babies and toddlers, introducing them to the church family and allowing parents to enjoy the service without having to worry about their little ones.

For the older children, we recognise that the service can be a little long, so we have a Children’s Church that allows boys and girls in primaries one through four to hear a Bible story and have fun in our church hall. And there’s an activity sheet for the next age group (up to the age of thirteen) that reflects the content of the sermon through puzzles and challenges to make that part of the service a little more fun too.

The Boys Brigade parades in our halls on Thursday and Friday evenings. We also encourage our girls to join the Girls Brigade company, hosted by First Garvagh Presbyterian church, that runs each Friday night.

We  run an annual Holiday Bible Club in the summer holidays. Although it’s aimed mainly at the primary school children, many of our teenagers come along as helpers, learning valuable lessons in service and discipleship in the process.

Our purpose … to see unbelieving people become committed members of Christ's church.
