Sunday School Resources
Psalm 112 reminds me of Amy Carmichael – a little girl who trusted God and was used to rescue many, many children from terrible situations – from darkness into light. Just like the Psalm says, she was generous and gave freely to the poor.
Many books have been written about her and the lovely statue in Bangor remind us that her story endures. But more than that she is in heaven now and there, as Psalm 112 says, her ‘righteousness endures for ever’.
So here is a challenge for the month of August. Use the document below as a starting point to design your project on Amy Carmichael. There are lots and lots more details about her life on the internet.
You can draw a storyboard, write in a project book, use computer, powerpoint or video. At the end of August you can leave your project into Main Street with your name, age and address, you can post it in, or email it to the church email – again with your name, age and address. Everyone who sends in a project will receive a prize!
If you happen to visit Bangor this summer – take a look for her statue outside Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church.
Why don’t you try posting some of your creations and Sunday School activities on the church Facebook page!!! We would LOVE to see them!
